Our journey begins as we depart Vancouver for Athens and the birthplace of Western theatre. Settle in for the overnight flight as we make our way to Greece.

Arrive in Athens and begin exploring the city as we wait for our hotel rooms to be ready. In the evening, enjoy an open-air performance that offers our first taste of Greek culture and sets the stage for the journey ahead.

Explore the Acropolis, Ancient Agora and Hadrian’s Library, walking through the heart of classical Athens. Later, gather for a lively Greek theatre talk, demonstration and Q&A that connects the city, its people and its myths to the beginnings of Western performance.

Spend the morning exploring Athens at your own pace, with time for museums, neighbourhoods or simply enjoying the city. Later, travel south along the coast to beautiful Nafplio, where we settle in for the next chapter of our Greek journey.

Travel deeper into ancient Greece with visits to two extraordinary sites. Experience the remarkable Theatre of Epidaurus, celebrated for its beauty and legendary acoustics, before exploring ancient Mycenae, home to the stories of Agamemnon and the world that inspired generations of Greek drama. Return to Nafplio for an evening by the sea.

Travel around the Gulf of Corinth to Patras, where we visit its Roman theatre and archaeological museum. From there, continue into the mountains to Delphi, once considered the centre of the ancient Greek world. In the evening, gather for a presentation exploring the gods, mythology and their powerful influence on Greek theatre.

Begin the day exploring ancient Delphi and its remarkable museum, discovering the sanctuary, oracle and stories that drew visitors from across the ancient world. Then travel north through spectacular mountain scenery to Meteora, where centuries-old monasteries rise dramatically above the plains. In the evening, gather for a discussion introducing Dodoni and its place in Greek history and theatre.

Visit ancient Dodoni, home to one of Greece’s oldest oracles and an impressive ancient theatre. From there, continue west through the Greek countryside and cross by ferry to the beautiful island of Corfu. The evening is reserved for a concert or musical event, to be confirmed when the 2027 programme is announced.

Spend the day discovering the history and beauty of Corfu. Explore the Old Fortress and wander through the narrow streets of Old Town, visit the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, and take in the seaside setting around Mon Repos. In the evening, enjoy live music and the atmosphere of this remarkable Greek island.

Enjoy a free morning in Corfu’s Old Town for a final stroll, a little shopping or time by the sea. Later, fly to London and settle in as the journey shifts from the ancient world to one of today’s great theatre capitals.

Discover some of London’s most iconic sights, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster and the National Gallery. In the evening, take your seat for a major West End musical and experience the energy of London theatre at its best.

Take the train from London to Hampton Court and explore the magnificent royal palace and gardens shaped by Henry VIII and the monarchs who followed. Step into the Great Hall, where Shakespeare and the King’s Men once performed for the royal court, before boarding a boat for a scenic cruise down the Thames back into central London. Finish the day with a performance of your own choosing, perhaps at the National Theatre.

Step into Shakespeare’s London with a guided walk through the places connected to the Bard and the world he knew. Visit Shakespeare’s Globe and explore the theatre where his plays come vividly to life, then return in the evening to experience Shakespeare performed on the Globe stage

Begin the day at the Tower of London and Tower Bridge before heading into the West End for a behind-the-scenes tour of historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Spend some time exploring Covent Garden and the surrounding theatre district, then finish the evening with a performance in one of London’s famous pub theatres.

Enjoy a full free day to make London your own—visit a museum, explore a neighbourhood, shop, take in an attraction or simply return to a favourite spot from the week. In the evening, come together for one final major West End musical and a fitting theatrical finale to our journey from ancient Greece to modern London.
